What is theAmplive.com?
TheAmplive.com is a new web site, focused entirely on local music, the people who make it and the people who support it. One of the many cool things about theAmplive.com is that the content always stays local, unless you choose to navigate elsewhere. There is no more browsing endlessly through a sea of endless random profiles to find an artist or fan that resonates with you. To make life even easier, the site is organized into 9 genres reflecting Atlantic Canada's musical spectrum from Celtic to Rock to Hip Hop and much more – even those "Outside the Box"!

How will theAmplive.com benefit Bands and Artists?
The mission of theAmplive.com is to showcase new music to a new generation of music fans in the local area.  Artists benefit from the development of a local fan base that goes to gigs and buys music.  In the future, bands and artists can use theAmplive.com in other territories (to be launched in time across North America and Europe) to build a fan base in advance of national / international tours.
With theAmplive.com, artists can upload to their very own page: songs, video-clips, photos, biographical information, tour dates and so much more. TheAmplive.com is a one-stop shop where artists can keep their fans informed of new releases, upcoming shows, news items etc. Artists can see who their fans are, and see where they are too. The site features a media player to “stream” songs and video-clips, which means the music is not given away – unless the artist expressly chooses to make a song available for download.

Who are the Fans and how do they benefit?
The purpose of theAmplive.com is to make original music accessible to new fans, and the site’s promotional efforts focus on the youth and young adult populations, although all are welcome!
The fans get their own profile page devoted entirely to themselves and the music that they love. Fans can create their own unique song-list available to play on the AMP Media Player while they surf the site. Fans can list their favorite bands, most memorable gigs, favorite albums, musical influences, and even write a short autobiography. Most importantly, they can begin to interact with their favorite artists and other fans through artist and special interest forums, contribute articles on gigs or albums or just email their fan page URL to friends when they “discover” a cool new band!

Some of the Great Features
The site contains “streaming” media players for songs and videos, gig guide, fan voted weekly chart, special event listings, message board, and organized by music genres: special editorials, featured gigs, artist of the week and so much more. Almost anything that an artist or music fan would ever want in a music site is right here at theAmplive.com.

What does theAmplive.com cost?
Registration and use of theAmplive.com is FREE to the Band / Artist and to the music Fan.
