ARTIST'S BIO
Timothy Chaisson has ascended to the top strata of the Canadian contemporary music scene and he is making his mark internationally as an exceptionally talented singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. The 20 year-old university student is a member of the Prince Edward Island's prominent musical Chaisson family. At the tender age of 14 he was touring with his brothers and cousins across North America as a member of the popular celtic rock band "Kindle". The young artist amazed many when he released his first solo record at 15. Timothy's first two albums, both self-produced, featured the artist playing all instruments (acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, fiddle, and mandolin) as well as the lead and backing vocals.

The Prince Edward Island musician has garnered the attention of several top industry professionals. Timothy traveled to California in 2003, at the invitation of renowned Los Angeles producer Steven Miller (Sting, Pink, Suzanne Vega), where he honed his songwriting skills with Miller and John Fields (Switchfoot, Mandy Moore). The intense crash course in song structure paid off and his sophomore independent release "Something Acoustic" won the Pop/Rock Album of the Year at the PEIMA awards show and a showcase spot at the 2005 East Coast Music Awards.

Tim recorded his third studio album with engineer Mike "Sheppy" Shepherd at Cape Breton's famed Lakewind Sound Studios. Studio owners Gordie Sampson and Fred Lavery recognised Timothy's talent and potential and with Lavery's recommendation Timothy secured a recording deal with the independent label "Offshore Gael Music". "So Much More", a song from his new recording "Even" was featured on the latest Lakewind compilation CD. Picked up by the nationally syndicated show "The East Coast Countdown" the song shot to the #1 spot on the Countdown's Top Ten chart. In August 2006, his second single to radio "Better Way" also reached #1 on the chart.
