ARTIST'S BIO

AllStarCharge are a three piece alternative rock band based in Dublin, Ireland, made up of Andrew Kelly on drums, Naoise Morzadec on bass and Mark Healy on guitar and vocals. ASC travel to Toronto, Canada on the 4th of June 2007.

Initially formed by drummer Andrew and singer/guitarist Mark in mid 2006, the pair spent their first months writing and recording the songs which now make up their energetic and moving live show.

ASC played the Hard Working Class Heroes festival in October 2006, where they were “entertaining an impressively large crowd…frontman Mark certainly has the voice to hold their interest…? (Shilpa Ganatra – Hotpress 1st November 2006)

In February 2007, they went on to play the TBMC, before completing the band line up with bass player Naoise in March. They drew a large crowd when they headlined Whelan’s of Wexford St. in Dubln in the same month, and repeated the success in CrawDaddy in April.

The songs are centrally important to this band, and are written about experiences and topics that affected the band enough to want to write about them. Their music has been described as melodic, atmospheric and anthemic, all in the same breath, ranging from the raw energetic punch of “Rocket Science? to the flowing grooves of “What If?? - all in all, this is the kind of music that gets you interested in possibility again.

Communicating the songs live is equally important to this band, with the belief that their live sound should be as good if not better than their recordings.

This summer ASC will headline The Village on the 3rd of June, before travelling to Toronto in Canada on the 4th, where they will finish work on their debut album, which is set for release in 2008.
