By Administrator

Three time 2007 Nova Scotia Music Award nominee, Charlie A'Court has also received praise from indie music and fashion magazine, Toronto Exclusive (www.torontoexclusive.com) . The TEMAs will be handed out at a Recognition & Industry night on October 16 in Toronto. For a complete list of nominees, go to www.torontoexclusive.com.

If you are a Music Nova Scotia member consider Charlie A'Court when filling out your 2007 Nova Scotia Music Awards ballot in the following categories:

Male Artist Recording of the Year (Bring On The Storm)
Blues Recording of the Year (Bring On The Storm)
Entertainer of the Year

Bring On The Storm was produced by none other than Danny Greenspoon (Great Big Sea, Susan Crowe, Bruce Guthro, Sophie Milman), with some of the country's top musicians including Marc Rogers (Philosopher Kings, Susan Tedeschi), Gary Craig (Blackie & The Rodeo Kings) and Kevin Breit (Harry Manx, Norah Jones). A'Court's latest collection of works spans the gamet of triumph and disaster, losing loved ones and battling mental illness, and simply being head-over-heels in love. A'Court's brand of songwriting has been challenging stylistic conventions, while bridging the gap between the influences of his rhythm & blues upbringing and adult contemporary lyricists such as Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen and Melissa Etheridge.

A recent review from Amie Street (www.amiestreet.com)..."Charlie A'Court: The most soulful Canadian Artist ... EVER!!!!!! Bring On The Storm is A'Court's second studio album and features powerful blues inflected folk-rock with a soulful undercurrent. Truly an Amie Street gem!"
