Submissions for the Canadian Music Cafe At TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Due By 13 July

The Canadian Music Café is returning for its third year as part of the 32nd Toronto International Film Festival ®. Since its inception, the Canadian Music Café has showcased over 30 artists and introduced countless labels and managers to some of the most influential players in Hollywood and TV. Applications are being accepted until July 13, 2007.

The mandate of the Canadian Music Café is to showcase Canada’s vibrant music scene to film and television industry leaders from around the world. In doing so, The Café is now the crossroad where respected and influential taste- and decision-makers can network with Canadian songwriters, managers and labels to collaborate on the music/movie synthesis

Showcases will run daily from September 11 to 13, 2007 exclusively for Toronto International Film Festival delegates. The Rivoli (334 Queen St. W.) will once again host the Canadian Music Café. If your act is selected, you will be informed by 3 August 2007. Venue, PA and lighting will be supplied. Travel and accomodation costs are the responsiblity of the Artist and/or their representatives.

Some of artists that have previously showcased at The Canadian Music Café include Buck 65, Ron Sexsmith, Chantal Kreviazuk, Jorane, Sarah Slean, K’naan, Jully Black, Molly Johnson, DJ Champion, Kid Koala, The Trews, Stabilo, The Russian Futurists, Keshia Chante, Mobile, Tomi Swick, and The Road Hammers.
